Galewinns Irish Setters & Miniature Dachshunds

Archie and Haven are expecting puppies on April 15th, 2025.  We are so excited as the ultrasound showed 10 puppies in there!!

Archie is a multiple Best In Show, multiple Best In Specialty Show winner.  He is a littermate to my girl Simma who is BIS MBISS GCHG Galewinns Simma Down NA, TIK.  He has a great temperament and loves to show.  He has substance, nice head planes, and a coat “to die for”.  

Haven is from a frozen semen litter - I was blessed that Pat Boldt allowed me to use 20+ year old frozen semen on CH Arista's Magic Man (Travis) and Haven was the girl that we kept.  I am so excited to see what this line breeding can produce.  Haven is an elegant bitch with a lovely headpiece and nice length of body.  

4/13/2025 - Haven goes in to labor!! She is a few days early but she did such a good job.  First puppy born at 3:30 am and last puppy born at 2:30 pm.  We have 9 puppies - 5 boys and 4 girls.  Mom and babies are doing great!

4/19/2025 - Mom and babies are doing great!  Haven is a very attentive mom and very careful about how she lays around them which is always a relief.  They are all gaining and nursing as they should.  Scroll down from some pictures.

5/5/2025 - Mom and babies are all great!  Eyes and ears are open.  Started feeding them “mush” today - they were not starving as Haven is taking good care of them.  Love interacting with them now and they play with each other.  Put toys in the box now - they are fun to watch figure new things out.
