Galewinns Irish Setters & Miniature Dachshunds

“Ridge” is a young male that is very accomplished for his age.  He finished his championship easily at 15 months old going Best of Breed over 12 specials!  He is training in the field and agility and growing up.  He has only shown in the Greeley Specialties since finishing and he was BOS and Select and wasn't even two years old yet.  He has a wonderful temperament and gets along with all other dogs.  He is owned by Pat Skavlen.

“Zoom” was the girl I kept out of the Bode/River litter.  I loved her from the start because she is so balanced.  The litter was 3 girls and 1 boy (frozen semen) and I love all 4 of the puppies.  They are balanced and move so nicely. Her littermate, Picasso, is also on this website.  Zoom loves life and has a “too die for” temperament.  I am so excited to see what this combination produces!

6/16/2024 - Zoom is in season!

6/24/2024 - Zoom's progesterone is 2.6.

6/26/2024 - Zoom's progesterone is 4.1.

6/27/2024 - Zoom's progesterone is 10.6 - side by side AI (artificial insemination) done tonight.

6/28/2024 - TCI (transcervical implant) done at CSU today - sperm looked great.

6/29/2024 - Side by side AI done again.

7/24/2024 - Ultrasound done and we see 9 puppies!!!!  So excited!

8/23/2024 - Xray done and shows 9 - possible 10 puppies!!!  Zoom is doing great - still very active and eating great.  Puppies due next Tues-Thurs so keep your fingers and toes crossed that all goes well.

8/27/2024 - Puppies are here!!! We have 5 girls and 4 boys.  Zoom did a great job whelping them and they are all strong and vigorous.  Pictures coming soon (after I get some sleep!).

9/7/2024 - Puppies are all doing great!  Their eyes are open and they are starting to “wobble walk” now.  Pictures below.

10/9/2024 - We did the first stacked pictures of the puppies tonight as they are 6 weeks old.  I really like these puppies - very uniform and such pretty faces.  Scroll down to see the pictures.
